Fabulous 9 drawer dresser by iconic designer Raymond Loewy for Mengel in the early 1950's. Features unique louvered drawers with brass pulls and an integrated vanity which opens from the upper middle drawer. A rare Loewy design in two tones. The proprietary white/orange wash finish which allows the wood grain to show thru is unique to this designer and is all original. The finish has not been altered in any way. This dresser is in excellent condition for it's age with only a couple minor marks on the top. All drawers are extremely clean and slide with no issue. Solid, heavy, dovetail construction.
