Beautiful Mid Century caned back armchairs by Tomlinson Of High Point, NC "Sophisticate" Collection dated October 22, 1957. Early design patent set. They feature a sleek bentwood frame, exposed dowl construction, caned back, and angled/tapered legs. These are in excellent condition with only minor marks consistent with age/use. There are some small lighter areas in the wood (see pic). The strapping is tight, like they were never used. Included are the original cushions in a pale yellow pattern. One of the cushions does have a stain on one side (see pic). We chose not to recover them because reupholstering cushions is not expensive and most of our customers choose to recover in their own fabric. However, you can use these cushions as-is, the stain can be put on the under side so you can't see it and the other 3 are in good shape. These are beautiful Mid Century chairs!
