Extremely rare Mid Century bed frame by designer John Van Koert for the Drexel Profile line that was produced from 1955-1961. Striking angles characterize this line. The headboard has a simple paneled design in walnut with angled header and tapered supports in solid pecan. The footboard is stunning with protruding angles allowing the surface to dually function as a bench! The bed comes with matching wood rails. The slots for the rails measure 55” wide and will easily accommodate a full-size mattress. You could also use the headboard and footboard with queen converter rails (not included) if wanting to use with a queen size mattress. This is a very heavy, well constructed piece with solid walnut construction. It is in good condition for it's age and has been thru our 5 step restoration process to bring out the original finish without sanding/staining.
