The lines on this sofa are incredible! Low profile, Danish modern sofa / daybed from the early 1960's. Very similar in style to Peter Hvidt/Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen design for France and Son. This sofa features gorgeous bentwood teak with atomic angled design, thicker wood accented arms and tapered legs. The back support is a different wood, possibly walnut. This has the original rust colored fabric which we have chosen to keep. No rips, thin spots or stains. There is some sun fading in the color in areas but does not detract and is not noticeable with the pillows on it. The wood is in excellent shape with very minor marks typical of age and one chip on the back support (see pic). As with all designer Mid Century furniture this is a solid wood frame with spring supported seats. It is comfortable and supporting. This is an absolutely gorgeous piece!
