Mid Century 1960's GE Porta-Fi Stereo Console/Credenza
$0.01 (Sold out)
Amazing style in this GE Porta-Fi stereo console from the late 1960's. Walnut case with angled legs. All original components including the original 12" full range speakers. The radio and all buttons on the radio section work as they should. The sound is amazing with full rich tones and it includes a bass boost. The turntable is not functioning. The needle does transmit sound thru the speakers but it does not turn. We chose to leave it all original and not include a Bluetooth amp as to not make additional holes in the case. You can listen to the playlist on your phone/ipad or other new device via the tape (aux) inputs on the back, cord is included. If you prefer Bluetooth you can easily add a Bluetooth amp or replace the turntable with a Bluetooth turntable so you can listen to LP's as well as your phone or ipad. Or you can have the original turntable repaired if you prefer to keep it authentic. This can also be used as a flat screen TV stand which you can plug the TV audio into the aux inputs as well. There are a lot of options for this but as it is, it sounds fantastic and you can listen to the radio or your phone/ipad with no issue. Cosmetically the fabric has one imperfection - see pic. The case is in very good condition for it's age, it does have a few chips in the veneer - see pics. Overall this is a gorgeous Mid Century piece that sounds amazing!
